Step 1 — The Situation

A flagship public university had three different AI policies in the writing program alone. Faculty felt deskilled, students felt surveilled, and TAs were grading process traces with no shared rubric.

Step 2 — The Task

As a Creative Director - Learning Design Studio, I led the end-to-end design and development of this project — from discovery and needs analysis through final delivery and implementation support.

Step 4 — The Solution

A 10-week cohort with peer-reviewed assignment redesigns, a co-authored AI-literacy rubric, and a facilitator pack so the model could spread to other departments without me in the room.

Step 5 — The Impact

Outcomes: - 86 faculty adopted the rubric in pilot - Four departments now run their writing assessments against it - 94 CSAT on the cohort - Faculty-rated AI confidence shifted +0.8 on a 5-point scale - CC-BY release picked up adoption from three peer institutions in the first quarter
