How to use Training OS

Getting started

Sign up, take the 14-day Pro trial, and publish a public portfolio URL.

  1. Create an account. You get a 14-day Pro trial with no credit card. When the trial ends, the account stays on Free — we do not charge you unless you add a card. Sign up
  2. After sign-in you land on the dashboard. My Content is where projects live; the public portfolio editor is under Portfolio. Open portfolio editor
  3. Your live page is trainingos.com/portfolio/yourname. Share that URL. Custom domains are not live yet — they are planned for Studio and Team. See example portfolios

Upload and playback

Export a SCORM zip, upload it from My Content, and play it in the browser.

  1. In Storyline, Rise, or Captivate, publish as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 and download the .zip. xAPI hosting is not shipping yet.
  2. Open My Content and upload the zip. Free accepts packages up to 50MB and 500MB total storage. Pro lifts that to 200MB packages and 5GB. Go to My Content
  3. If the course does not play, email support@trainingos.com with the package. We will work it out before you spend more time on it. Email support

Portfolio

Edit the public page, preview before you share, and use Pro privacy controls.

  1. Open the portfolio editor. Edit headline, work, and proof there. Use Preview to see the visitor view; owner pencils stay hidden in Preview. Edit portfolio
  2. Pro can hide the Training OS footer, set a passphrase, and send an unindexed share link for NDA work so it stays off the public showcase.
  3. Iframe embeds and standalone share links are Pro. The versioned client review workspace (comments and approvals) is not live — it stays waitlist-only with Studio and Team. See what Pro includes

Billing

Trial, Free caps, and upgrading through hosted Stripe checkout.

  1. The 14-day Pro trial reverts to Free on its own. Free keeps 3 projects, 500MB storage, 50MB SCORM packages, and 3 PPT-to-SCORM conversions per month. Hitting a cap does not delete your work.
  2. Upgrade from Billing. Checkout opens on Stripe — we never collect a card on trainingos.com. Manage or cancel later from the same page via the Stripe customer portal. Open billing
  3. Studio and Team are waitlist-only. There is no Agency checkout. View pricing
/02Troubleshooting

Something not working?

Start here. If it still fails, send the package or a screenshot to support@trainingos.com.

I cannot sign in.

Use “Forgot password” on the sign-in page and check spam for the Clerk email. If you signed up with Google or another SSO provider, use that same button. Still stuck — email support@trainingos.com.

My upload failed or the zip is too large.

Confirm the file is a SCORM 1.2 or 2004 .zip (not a Review link or a raw .story file). Free packages max out at 50MB; Pro at 200MB. Storage caps are 500MB on Free and 5GB on Pro. Retry once, then email support@trainingos.com with the filename and approximate size.

The course will not play.

We run SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 in the browser. xAPI statement hosting is coming with Allure Connect and is not available today. If a standard SCORM export still fails, email support@trainingos.com with the package.

Share links or embeds are missing.

Standalone share links and iframe embeds are Pro. Start or resume Pro from Billing. Custom domains and the versioned client review workspace are not shipping yet.

Is Free actually free?

Yes. No card required, no countdown. 3 projects, 500MB storage, a public portfolio — forever. You hit the cap, you stay capped. We do not downgrade or delete your content.
